I finished my very first knitting project: a scarf for my Dad’s birthday. I just had to show it off! Click here for larger image.

Bookmark Collection

Thursday, October 27th, 2005

I’ve been collecting bookmarks for quite awhile now. My favorite ones are free, as the bookstore places them in the book I just purchased. Then I can look back and remember my experience browsing though their isles. Now that I have a scanner, I can share my bookmark collection online, just like Fuat and Melissa. [...]

We made it into The Stranger

Thursday, October 27th, 2005

Yes, there’s quite a long article on 2045 Seattle in this week’s edition of The Stranger. The online version contains a color picture of Christian while the paper version also includes a photo of Kate and me. New 2045 Seattle brochures hot off the press today! Let me know if you need any to pass [...]

Monday, October 24th, 2005

The Friends of the Seattle Public Library has posted the full responses from City Council and mayoral candidates to questions posed to them about current library issues. It’s no surprise that Greg Nickels did not bother to respond. Support the Seattle Public Library: Become a member of the Friends of the Seattle Public Library Let [...]

Monday, October 24th, 2005

You can see a picture of me with Mayor Gridlock over at 2045 Seattle. I just wish I had taken off my jacket. Yes, this photo was taken BEFORE we asked him about the monorail.

I can’t believe it’s been two years since Elliott’s passing. Here are a few links to check out: Sweet Adeline: the official site Elliott Smith Memorial Fund: financial support for children who are victims of abuse Slate article on Elliott entitled New York in Reverse Photos of Elliott Smith memorial in Silverlake And then there’s [...]

2045 Seattle Announces MayorGridlock.com

Thursday, October 20th, 2005

2045Seattle.org has introduced a Greg Nickels parody site called MayorGridlock.com. My favorite bit so far is when Gridlock Greg Defends us from laserbeams! It may just be a coincidence, but Nickels did this the same year Austin Powers’ nemesis Dr. Evil suggested: You know, I have one simple request. And that is to have sharks [...]

Lovin’ Molly

Wednesday, October 19th, 2005

There’s a movie from 1974 called “Lovin’ Molly” staring Blythe Danner as Molly Taylor. Now I see why people say Gwyneth looks just like her mom. I’ll have to try to get my hands on a DVD copy somehow, as it’s only available on VHS here in the states.
