Weekly Geeks #14 – Reading Photos
August 24th, 2008
This week’s challenge is for me to post reading photos.

Current “to be read” pile.

I dressed up as Nancy Pearl for Halloween a few years ago.

My cat, Chloe, with books.

My cat, Suiki, sleeping on a book.

Collage boxes that my friend Shannon made for me…includes authors such as Nancy Pearl and the main characters from the movie “84 Charing Cross Road”.

This is a sign in Seattle on Capital Hill. Proof positive that Seattle is a very bookish town!

White Horse Tavern in Pike Place Market – this is where my book group met when I lived in Seattle.
I’ve been checking out photos from other Weekly Geeks posts. Page After Page has some great pics of people reading. And I love the pic of Saving My Sanity‘s cat.

Wonderful pictures! I love the shots of your kitties – my Lhasa is named Suki (pronounced soo-key) is this the same way you say your cats name Suiki?

Joanne, thank you! I do pronounce it the same way. I found the name in a Japanese baby names book and it means “the loved one”. Suiki was much loved and I miss her dearly (she passed away in 2006). I’m happy to report that Chloe is still with us and enjoys being queen of the household.
