Veg Out Vegetarian Guide to Seattle and Portland

The first edition of Veg Out Vegetarian Guide to Seattle and Portland leaves much to be desired. Published in 2004, a handful of the Seattle restaurants that are listed in the book have since closed. I also found the Seattle section of the book to be too short. They could have made an entire book with just Seattle restaurants. Instead, this book also includes Bellingham, Olympia, Tacoma, Redmond, Bellevue, Kirkland, and Portland. The publisher’s New York City guide is much better. If you live in the area, I recommend checking it out.
However, I did find a couple restaurants in the Seattle guide that I’d like to try. Madam K’s is a pizza place located in an 1800′s brothel in Ballard. For falafel, I’m going to try Mediterranean Kitchen Express on Capitol Hill.
